We’re back for a special bonus episode of the Tomorrow Society Podcast. I’ve spent a lot of time visiting parks this year, especially from the massive Six Flags chain. So I thought it would be fun to catch up about what we’ve been doing and give some thoughts on those parks. The show isn’t coming back regularly; this is just a check-in with a lot of info about what it’s like to visit a wide range of regional parks.

Before diving into Six Flags, I start by discussing news from Disney in 2025. I dive into possible reasons for why their parks seem a little quieter this summer than in past years. It’s not a simple explanation, with a mix of different factors in the lower crowds. This includes hot weather, Epic Universe, economic concerns, and the lack of headliner attractions. I also give my thoughts on the rides and shows that Disney has opened this year, including Test Track 3.0, and the sad closing of some classics.

This podcast focuses on my experiences beyond Disney and Universal at a bunch of parks closer to home. I briefly talk about our latest visit to Silver Dollar City and then dig into Six Flags St. Louis, Kings Island, Six Flags Great America, and Worlds of Fun. Only the last one was entirely new to me, but we spent a lot more time at some parks than I had in the past. I talk about the best coasters, including the new B&M dive coaster Wrath of Rakshasa, and our experiences each day. Beyond the specific trips, I also discuss why Six Flags is struggling and where they might improve their offerings. I hope you enjoy hearing about my latest trips on this bonus episode!
