It’s a great time for Disney fans when it comes to learning more about theme parks and their history. There are so many valuable resources out there, especially online. Former Imagineers are now actively telling their stories through podcasts and social media. Also, there are an increasing number of books that chronicle the history of the parks and the company on the whole. This episode of the Tomorrow Society Podcast covers my latest Disney reads during the past few months.
This collection of reads comes from wide-ranging sources like Disney’s CEO and the staff that helped to clean Disneyland. On this episode, there are close readings of attractions at The Magic Kingdom and a fan’s daring journey around the world. My reading list continues to expand, and there is no end to interesting titles coming in the future. To help your own reading journey, here’s the full list of books that I reviewed during this episode:
- The Ride of a Lifetime: Lessons Learned from 15 Years as CEO of the Walt Disney Company by Robert Iger
- Creativity, Inc: Overcoming the Unseen Forces that Stand in the Way of True Inspiration by Ed Catmull and Amy Wallace
- The Thinking Fan’s Guide to Walt Disney World: Magic Kingdom 2020 by Aaron Wallace
- Cleaning the Kingdom: Insider Tales of Keeping Walt’s Dream Spotless by Ken Pellman and Lynn Baron
- Cleaning the Kingdom: Night, Day, Past and Present by Ken Pellman and Lynn Baron
- Around the Worlds in 80 Days: One Fan’s Journey to Conquer Disney’s Magic Kingdoms by Dustin Engels
