It’s been an incredible five years since I started The Tomorrow Society back in June 2015. I started the site as a blog focused largely on EPCOT, but the scope quickly expanded to a lot more. When I recorded the first interview for The Tomorrow Society Podcast in August of that year, I was hooked. Now that I’ve reached Episode 100 on the podcast, it’s time to look back. The show has gone well beyond what I could have expected in the beginning.
During this episode, I talk about my theme park story going back to car trips to Florida as a kid in the ’80s and early ’90s. There’s a lot to cover here, including what originally excited me about theme parks. I also discuss Disney podcasts that re-ignited my fandom like Inside the Magic, the original WDW Today, WDW Radio, and The Season Pass Podcast. There are far too many influences to mention, and many go beyond Disney. I was an early adopter to podcasts and still love the medium.
This episode also includes listener questions submitted during the past few months. Some focus directly on the podcast and involve favorite episodes and dream guests. Others go beyond this show and cover the parks. My favorite one draws an extended response on what I’d do to change EPCOT. Finally, I list some current podcast favorites in the Disney community. I’m thrilled to reach Episode 100, and I feel like I’m just getting started!
Thanks so much for all the support for The Tomorrow Society during the past five years!
