When I started outlining my thoughts about Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa for a trip report, I realized there was far too much to contain within a single episode. In fact, I needed to seriously develop a plan to fit the material into two parts. There is plenty to discover within the beautiful resort, which uses the space well. The dense layout makes it easy to get around and experience all the different offerings from Aulani. The trick is making sure you relax and don’t overdo it.

For Part 2 of this Aulani trip report on The Tomorrow Society Podcast, I’m focusing on the big topics. I talk about all the dining options at the resort, including the breakfast and dinner buffets at Makahiki. There are ways to save money both at Aulani and beyond if you make some wise choices. The full kitchen definitely helps to make that easier with the extra space.

Also, this episode includes my detailed thoughts on the KA WA’A Luau, which you should not miss on a trip to Aulani. It offers a grand spectacle that also provides some interesting history of the island. I’ve also gathered some information from my wife Erin about her trip to the Laniwai Spa for a relaxing escape from the chaos. The grounds of this spa are the real gem to enjoy. Finally, I’ll sum up the trip with some overall thoughts about Aulani. It was a great vacation that contained touches of Disney but was a big change from visiting the parks.
