To put it mildly, it’s been a very different kind of year. Cases of COVID-19 remain high as we enter the last quarter of 2020. Even so, Walt Disney World was able to reopen in July and is starting to draw more guests. I don’t plan to visit the parks soon but remain interested in what it’s like to experience them. Theme park journalist Carlye Wisel was there for the opening and wrote an excellent article for Vox about the situation.
Carlye returns to The Tomorrow Society Podcast to talk about visiting Walt Disney World during a pandemic. It was much different given the anxiety of rising cases in Florida. Carlye’s personal experience was important to help with her story. It also helps her to provide advice to others considering the trip. There are many Disney fans that are trying to decide the right choice for them. Caryle has provided such valuable info to help that decision.
We also talk about Carlye’s new podcast Very Amusing, which premiered in August. She hosts the fun and engaging show, which gives a behind-the-scenes look at the world of a theme park journalist. The podcast includes detective stories, interviews, and lots of great listener feedback.
I loved the chance to talk with Caryle again following our first conversation in January. Our final segment includes hard-hitting questions about Duffy and his friends, the worst Disney hotel names, and other important topics. Caryle is game to talk about it all, which makes her a great podcast guest. You should definitely check out Very Amusing and follow her everywhere.
