In our tech-driven world, there are so many options to stay connected. Podcasts, YouTube videos, and Instagram stories are just a small part of what’s out there. Despite the wide range of choices, few of them beat the enjoyment of a good book. A stunning variety of titles on Disney history can expand our perspective. Personal stories, fictional source material, and extensive details enhance the experience. The trick is finding the best titles that meet our interests. A helpful resource to make that decision easier is the Book of the Mouse Club podcast. Hosts Courtney Guth and Emily McDermott delve into Disney books as fans with high expectations.

Guth and McDermott are my guests on the latest episode of The Tomorrow Society Podcast. We talk about their backgrounds and their stories of the Disney College Program. Guth and McDermott had different experiences working in the parks on attractions and entertainment, respectively. We also talk about some of their favorite books about Walt Disney, the parks, and a lot more. There are so many great Disney titles out there, and our conversation should offer a good starting point.

I loved the chance to talk with Guth and McDermott and learn about their stories. On the Book of the Mouse Club, they cover a subject that deserves attention. You can learn about many more interesting books on their show. They have also interviewed authors like Aaron Goldberg, Aaron Wallace, and Trisha Daab. These episodes offered insights about publishing along with discussions of the books themselves.

Walt Disney: An American Original by Bob Thomas is an incredible biography of Walt that shows more nuance than you'd expect.
