There was so much anticipation among Disney fans heading into the Parks & Resorts presentation at last week’s D23 Expo. How could the announcements possibly live up to all the hype? Amazingly, the news from Bob Chapek and others included some big surprises. We expected to hear about Guardians of the Galaxy in EPCOT, but who had a new China film in their office pool? Tron is coming to The Magic Kingdom, but not at the expense of the Speedway. It’s an exciting time to be a Disney fan, and the next 4-5 years will see huge changes.

On this episode of The Tomorrow Society Podcast, Nate Parrish of WEDWay Radio joins me to discuss all the major news about Walt Disney World (and a little on Disneyland). Nate has been podcasting about the parks for a long time and has plenty to say about the announcements. There were some controversial decisions that angered some avid fans, and we delve into those during the show. It’s a tricky subject because attractions that could use attention are being replaced, but we’re still losing rides that have delivered great memories.

Nate and I also discuss the origins of his Disney fandom and how he got into podcasting. WEDWay Radio has been one of the top Disney podcasts for many years, so it’s a thrill to have Nate on the show.
