A few weeks ago, Disney announced a major course correction to Disney Genie Plus, their paid line-skipping system. That service is being renamed as Lightning Lane Multipass and will allow reservations up to seven days in advance (for Disney Resort guests). It’s a big move that brings back some aspects of FastPass Plus.

There’s a lot to like from the updates, but not all the news is good. I talk about all the changes and my opinions on them during this episode of the Tomorrow Society Podcast. It’s easy to get cynical about recent moves from Disney leadership, but there are some positives. For this episode, I’ve chosen five things I like and five that I dislike in the new Lightning Lane Multipass service.

The changes don’t take effect until July 24th, and we may learn more from Disney even before it’s implemented. I’m giving my first impressions here before we see how everything works on the ground. There are some interesting strategies that savvy guests may be able to use to maximize the new system.

What do you think of the updates from Disney? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
