It’s easy for Disney fans to think of massive changes to our favorite theme parks. For example, replacing entire pavilions at EPCOT could reshape the park into something very different. It’s trickier when I think about smaller updates that could slightly alter attractions. For the second part of my podcast with ideas to improve EPCOT, I discuss plans in both categories. There are so many ways to make Future World and World Showcase into what I’d like to see, and each of us has a different goal.

This episode of The Tomorrow Society Podcast shifts the attention to Future World East, which currently includes Test Track and Mission: Space. I talk about ways that I’d change those attractions and the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind coaster. My major expansion will arrive in the place currently slated for the Play! Pavilion. It’s the one situation where I’d like to see a brand new attraction. The goal is to look back for inspiration yet create a forward-thinking, modern attraction.

The final piece of the puzzle is World Showcase, and I have a lot of ideas that enhance what already works there. I’m not looking to go backwards and won’t be removing attractions. However, recent additions like Frozen Ever After need some tweaks. I’ll also consider a new pavilion within a region of the world that deserves a larger presence at EPCOT.

Beyond my ideas, I’ll also discuss your thoughts on how Disney should improve EPCOT. Many of you have fun and inventive plans for updating the parks. During the episode, I respond to your e-mails, Twitter messages, and audio clips. It’s been such a blast to make this podcast more interactive with these two episodes. I’d love to do more of this type of episode in the future.
