We keep learning more details about Universal’s Epic Universe, and I can’t wait to experience this new theme park in Orlando. It opens next May, and fans can’t wait to check out its five lands. But will it draw casual guests right from the start? How big of an impact could Epic Universe have on the industry? Seth Kubersky is the right person to answer these questions. He’s the co-author of the brand new Unofficial Guide to Universal Orlando 2025 and is an expert on the resort.
Seth is my guest on this episode of the Tomorrow Society Podcast to give a detailed preview of Epic Universe. We talk about the larger issues and then dive into each of the lands. We talk about the excitement for Dark Universe, which is themed to Universal Monsters. The flagship attraction Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment appears to be the next evolution of Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. Seth and I also cover the lands themed to Nintendo, Harry Potter, How to Train Your Dragon, and the Celestial Park entry land. There’s so much to cover from this exciting new park.
We conclude the podcast with a rapid-fire round and talk about a wide range of theme park topics. Seth talks about what’s exciting him from Disney’s latest announcements and the sad news about MuppetVision 3D. He also gives his opinions on attractions that Disney is opening in 2025. I really enjoyed talking with Seth one last time. Don’t forget to submit your questions and topics for Episode 250, which will be the final episode of the Tomorrow Society Podcast. E-mail me to dan@tomorrowsociety.com about what you’d like me to cover on the grand finale of this show.
