Seth Kubersky has a unique perspective on Universal Orlando from working there as a stage technician and entertainment supervisor in the late ‘90s. More recently, he covered theme parks as a writer for the Orlando Weekly and Touring Plans.com. Kubersky lives in Orlando and visits the parks regularly. He’s also an author who works on books about Disneyland and the Florida parks. His most recent book is The Unofficial Guide to Universal Orlando, which was released this summer. It’s the first time that Universal has been the sole focus of an Unofficial Guide title.
I loved speaking with Kubersky about Universal and his book on The Tomorrow Society Podcast. He has covered the parks for a long time and understands the industry. Disney leads and builds incredible attractions, but the contest is closer now thanks to Universal.
Our conversation discusses the potential with Universal’s growth and how their approach differs from Disney’s. So much is happening in Orlando, and it feels like just the tip of the iceberg of what’s to come. I would definitely suggest following Kubersky’s blogs and picking up his book when you plan a Universal trip.
