There’s plenty of excitement in the world of theme parks when we think about 2025 and beyond. One of the main reasons is the opening of Universal’s Epic Universe in Florida on May 22nd. The anticipation for Universal Orlando’s third theme park is off the charts. How big of an impact could this park have on the industry and other players? What will Disney do if Epic Universe starts drawing their guests away? Tim Grassey and I cover these questions and a lot more on this episode of the Tomorrow Society Podcast.
We talk about lots of different subjects on this podcast starting with our thoughts on Epic Universe. Tim describes what he thinks will be the park’s sleeper hit and what interests him the most. I ask him about Disney’s openings in 2025, and we dive into Test Track 3.0, the new Magic Kingdom parade, and more. Tim also gives his opinions of the Tropical Americas expansion at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and what’s next for EPCOT following its transformation. I really enjoyed talking with Tim one more time before concluding this show with Episode 250.
After our interview, I give my thoughts on Disney’s very recent announcement that the Monsters, Inc. land will be replacing Muppet Vision 3D at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I also talk about Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster being rethemed to the Muppets as part of big changes to that park. I’m interested about plans to preserve Muppet Vision in some form and hope it finds a new home at the parks.
