The dream of living in Orlando with close access to Walt Disney World has always intrigued me. I live in St. Louis and have no plans to move, but it’s a regular “what if” scenario in my mind. As a blogger and podcaster, I’m envious of people like Lou Mongello and Ricky Brigante that have such close access to the parks. The documentary Dreamfinders provides a charming look at these guys and others who cover Disney full-time. Director Tony Cortese joins me on the latest episode of The Tomorrow Society Podcast to discuss his new film. It really captures what connects this group to Disney and why so many connect with them.
Tony and I talk about what drew him to this topic and how he connected with the online Disney giants. Other participants like JenniLynn Knopp and John Saccheri (aka Big Fat Panda) give him a wide range of perspectives on their Disney fandom in the film. We delve into the production and what it was like to tour the parks with online celebrities. Tony also describes his own recent move to Orlando from New York and why he chose to live in Celebration, Florida.
This episode is also a first for the podcast — Tony speaks to me live from Disney’s Hollywood Studios. He’s known for his incredible time-lapse footage videos from Walt Disney World and has close access to the parks. It’s great to hear from someone who loves the parks and has found a way to make them a larger part of his life. It’s no surprise after seeing Dreamfinders that Tony is such a big fan of Orlando and Walt Disney World.

Another good show! My off-topic takeaway: it never occurred to me that I could order a kids meal as an adult. (smacks forehead)

Yes! It’s a new money-saving plan, though it possibly gives limited food options.
