It’s been about two years since I visited Walt Disney World, so a return trip was long overdue. It finally happened a few weeks ago during my daughter’s Spring Break. I expected the huge crowds we typically see this time of year, but the result was a big surprise. We spent three days at the parks and had a blast checking out the most recent additions. This episode of the Tomorrow Society Podcast is Part 1 of my detailed trip report about our latest vacation at Walt Disney World.
During this trip report, I cover everything we did in our first two park days at EPCOT and the Magic Kingdom. My top priorities were Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and TRON Lightcycle Run; neither was open in 2022 during our last trip. On this podcast, I give my reviews of these new roller coasters and whether they lived up to the hype. I also talk about other new attractions like Luminous, Journey of Water Inspired by Moana, and the World Celebration Gardens. It was cool to see fewer construction walls at EPCOT, though the park’s transformation is not 100% complete.
On this trip, I made full use of Disney Genie Plus, Individual Lightning Lanes, and the Standby Skipper app to maximize our time in the parks. I give my opinion on all these tools and talk about if they were worth the significant costs. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by the complexities of a Walt Disney World trip, so I tried to not go too crazy with developing a touring plan. I hope that you enjoy this podcast where I share a lot of thoughts about everything at the parks including TRON and Cosmic Rewind.
