I’m going to Walt Disney World! It’s been two years since our last Florida trip, and we’ll be returning during Spring Break this year. I’m sure it will be packed like usual at this time of year, but we’re limited to when my daughter is out of school. It’s just two of us visiting this time, so it will be a different kind of trip. This Tomorrow Society Podcast episode gives a preview of the main parts of our upcoming vacation.

We’ll be packing a lot into our short time, so there’s plenty to cover on this episode. My topics for this preview including the following:

  • What I’m expecting from our stay at Port Orleans French Quarter and why I chose this resort
  • Big decisions including transportation, the length of the trip, and a lot more
  • Which attractions I’m most excited to experience for the first time, including TRON Lightcycle Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
  • My interest and expectations for Disney Genie Plus and other tools
  • How much we’re spending on core aspects of this trip like airfare and the hotel

This preview podcast just scratches the surface of the planning that’s currently needed for a Walt Disney World trip. I’m taking a lean approach to both this episode and the trip, at least as much as possible. Regardless of how many attractions we experience and the crowds at the parks, my goal is just to have a fun trip and enjoy all the steps. I’m excited to talk about my new trip and get back to Walt Disney World!

I preview our trip where we'll experience Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

Dan – great episode! We are doing nearly the same trip! Staying at POFQ for the same reasons, etc. We leave on. 3/22 and return home 3/28 with 5 park days. Instead of buying you a Dole Whip maybe I can buy you a beignet! 🙂

Also, I from Cincinnati and live 3 miles from Kings Island. I loved your trip report from last summer.

Thanks for the great podcast. I especially love hearing from imagineers.

    Blessings,

    Brent

Thanks Brent! You actually arrive just a little bit after we leave WDW; it’s too bad that our stays don’t cross over! That’s awesome that you live so close to Kings Island. I figured it would be a fun park, but I enjoyed it even more than I expected. Beyond the coasters, it’s just a well-run and cool place. I’m glad you’re enjoying the podcast; thanks for the kind words and enjoy the trip!
