We’re back for Part 2 of this detailed trip report from my recent Walt Disney World vacation. Last time, I played clips recorded during our five-night stay and then provided more details on our park days. I also covered the pros and cons of the Disney Genie Plus service and how it worked on our trip. That report focused on each step of our visits to EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and The Magic Kingdom. This episode of the Tomorrow Society Podcast starts by looking at your final day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I describe my first experience with Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Both attractions lived up (and possibly exceeded) my expectations.
This episode also focuses on our dining throughout the full vacation, including food outside the parks. I spend a lot of time covering everything we tried at the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. The lines for booths weren’t too bad, so we had the chance to sample quite a few dishes. Our overall dining strategy did not involve table service meals. Instead, we used mobile order and enjoyed quick bites at food carts and counter-service restaurants. This saved time and gave us more flexibility with picky eaters.
During this trip, we stayed at the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel for the first time. This episode includes my review of our five-night stay in the EPCOT resort area. The location is amazing, but what did I think of the room and overall service at the Swan? It was interesting to note the differences between this resort and our past stays at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. I conclude this trip report by talking about highlights and things I’d do differently next time. We really enjoyed the chance to finally get back to Walt Disney World for the first time since 2019. I’d love to hear what you think of this epic trip report podcast!
